Farewell Party for Sutan Emir in The Traditional Bahrain Event “Ghabga”

BAHRAIN, KNKS – On Tuesday (14/05/19), The Bahrain-Indonesia Business and Friendship Society (BIBFS) organized “Ghabga” event as a farewell party for Sutan Emir Hidayat in the Gulf Hotel, Bahrain.

“Ghabga” is a traditional event of Bahrainis that is held every Ramadhan after tarawih until dawn (sahur) with the purpose of strengthening relationship among friends, families, and colleagues. This event of “Ghabga” party was intended especially for Emir's farewell party as Vice President BIBFS who has now a new role as Director of Islamic Financial Education and Research of KNKS.

In the event that was organized by BIBFS at the Bahrain Gulf Hotel, His Excellency Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic of Indonesia to The Kingdom of Bahrain (Nur Syahrir Rahardjo), Head of Chancery of Indonesian Embassy in Manama (Hardiyono Kurniawan), Chairman of ASEAN Bahrain Council (Shaikh Duaij bin Isa Al-Khalifah), President of BIBFS (Dr. Hana Kanoo), Bahraini businessmen involved in BIBFS, as well as most of the Board Members of BIBFS were present in the event.

In the party, Nur Syahrir Rahardjo gave a token of appreciation to the Vice President of BIBFS and followed by giving a collection of post-cards that were written by the participants at the event. Those post-cards contain expression of gratitude, impression, and congratulation from the participants to Emir.

On this occasion, Emir expressed his gratitude for The President of BIBFS and the Board Members of BIBFS for promoting Islamic economy and halal industry in the BIBFS meeting.

“Thankyou for everything, I want BIBFS to become a catalyst for bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and Indonesia, especially in the field of halal industry which includes halal tourism, halal cosmetics, muslim fashion, and Islamic finance. Even though I’m back to Indonesia and will no longer be The Vice President of BIBFS, I really hope that the halal industry agenda will still be put in the BIBFS meeting, so that it will enhance the bilateral relationship between the two countries.” said Emir.
